How to export your statement
It takes about a minute. See the full guide to exporting your bank statement for bank-by-bank notes.
1. Log in to your bank's internet banking
Go to your own bank's website (ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Westpac, Kiwibank…) and log in as usual. A computer is easiest; the mobile app often can't export.
2. Go to your transactions
In your internet banking, click the account you spend from (for example your everyday or cheque account) to see its list of transactions.
3. Find Export or Download
Still in your internet banking, look for an "Export" or "Download" option or a download icon near the transactions.
4. Choose CSV and 3–6 months
Pick CSV as the format (not PDF) and a date range of three to six months. Save the file to your computer.
5. Drop the file in above
Come back here and drop the file into the box at the top. No sign-up or MoneyLeaks account is needed.
Works with
ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Westpac, Kiwibank, Co-operative Bank, TSB and most credit card exports. Add several files at once to include every account.
Questions
No. The file is read by your own browser and never sent to a server. The site is set up to block any outgoing data connections, so it physically cannot upload your statement. When you close the tab, the data is gone.
